Terms & Conditions
Last Updated: 11 October 2026
Welcome to Liverpool Skin Lab (operating from 88 Rodney Street, Liverpool, under Clinic Director Dr Carmen Ranjith, MBChB, PGCert). By booking a consultation, purchasing a treatment plan, or entering our clinic premises, you explicitly agree to be bound by the following terms, conditions, and clinical policies.
1. Consultation Fee Policy
To maintain high clinical safety and dedicated patient focus, Liverpool Skin Lab operates a strict booking framework:
A mandatory £50.00 consultation fee is required upfront to secure all clinical consultations and treatment slots.
This fee covers your comprehensive, doctor-led medical skin mapping, diagnostic history review, and bespoke prescription formulation.
This fee is strictly non-redeemable against future treatments, products, or services.
Appointments are non-transferable between individuals.
2. Strict 48-Hour Cancellation & Rescheduling Policy
As a private, doctor-led clinic, our time is strictly managed to provide elite patient care.
The 48-Hour Window: If you need to cancel or reschedule your appointment, you must provide a minimum of 48 hours' notice.
Approved Communication Channels: All cancellations and rescheduling requests must be submitted explicitly via our official WhatsApp Business Account at 07988416040 or via email at liverpoolskinlab@gmail.com. Notifications sent via any other social media platform or channel will not be recognized.
Late Cancellations & Rescheduling: If you cancel, reschedule, or fail to attend your appointment with less than 48 hours' notice, your £50.00 consultation fee is forfeited immediately to cover clinical clinic room overheads and administration.
Late Arrivals: If you arrive more than 15 minutes late for your scheduled slot, your appointment may be cancelled to protect the timing of subsequent patients, and your fee will be forfeited.
3. Strict No-Refund Policy on Delivered Treatments
At Liverpool Skin Lab, we deliver highly bespoke, advanced clinical skin interventions (including medical-grade chemical peels, medical microneedling, and prescription skin barrier mapping).
Clinical Reality: Clinical dermatology and aesthetic procedures are not commodities. Human biology, skin barrier responses, genetics, lifestyle, and post-treatment home care vary fundamentally from patient to patient. Consequently, individual results cannot be uniform and no guarantee of a specific aesthetic or clinical outcome can be given.
The Policy: Once a treatment, product, or prescription protocol has been physically administered or dispensed on the premises, Liverpool Skin Lab operates a strict No-Refund Policy.
Fees paid are for the professional expertise of Dr Carmen Ranjith, the clinical delivery of the service, and the medical-grade consumables utilized—not for a guaranteed visual milestone. Under no circumstances will refunds be issued based on a patient's subjective dissatisfaction with their biological response to a treatment.
4. Right to Refuse Treatment & Patient Suitability
Dr Carmen Ranjith is a GMC-registered practitioner bound by strict professional ethics and clinical governance.
We reserve the absolute right to refuse treatment to any individual at any stage.
If, during your medical intake or skin mapping consultation, Dr Ranjith determines that a requested treatment is clinically unsafe, carries an unacceptable risk of post-inflammatory hyperpigmentation (PIH), or is unsuitable for your skin profile, an alternative medical plan will be proposed.
Abusive, aggressive, or disrespectful behaviour toward clinic staff will result in immediate discharge from the clinic footprint and forfeiture of all fees.
5. Patient Responsibility & Pre/Post-Care Compliance
The safety of advanced chemical rejuvenation and microneedling depends heavily on patient compliance.
You are legally and ethically required to provide a 100% accurate medical history, including all active systemic prescription medications and topical products, during your digital onboarding.
You must strictly adhere to the bespoke pre-care priming and post-treatment barrier recovery protocols provided by Dr Ranjith.
Liverpool Skin Lab accepts zero liability for adverse clinical outcomes, complications, or skin boundary damage resulting from a patient’s failure to follow post-care instructions, sun-protection mandates, or the unauthorized use of concurrent skincare brands.
6. Clinical Governance & Medico-Legal Disputes
These Terms and Conditions are governed exclusively by the laws of England and Wales.
Any formal clinical concerns or adverse reactions must be reported to the clinic via email within 24 hours of onset to allow Dr Ranjith to conduct a clinical review and implement an emergency protocol.
